RTS SINDBAD - (Managed by RTSS MARITIME SERVICES LLC - a company under the license of Dubai- UAE) is the legendary Training Ship from Østfold Maritime Skole, Norway- fully equipped as a Maritime Mobile Training School. RTS Sindbad is the International Center for Maritime Studies and Ship Management in the United Arab Emirates. The school conducts various Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates of Competency, STCW, and maritime training programs under the approval of New Zealand Maritime, Australia Maritime Safety Authority, and Maritime Panama. 

The training programs started in 2005 under the aegis of New Zealand Maritime School after their approval as the fastest certificate of competency program.

100% of Students were successful and were placed with worldwide companies who partnered with RTSS as their corporate universities. 

Shipping – which transports about 90% of global trade – is, statistically, the least environmentally damaging mode of transport when its productive value is considered. In 1997, already an annex was added to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL). 

In 2018, shipping emitted 1,056 million tonnes of CO2, accounting for about 2.89% of the total global anthropogenic CO2 emissions for that year, estimated the Fourth IMO GHG Study 2020. Under a voyage-based allocation method, the share of international shipping represented 740 million tonnes of CO2 in 2018. In 2050, shipping emissions could be between 90 and 130% of 2008 emissions, according to a series of long-term business-as-usual scenarios.

RTSS is actively engaged in a smart ship approach using IMO guidelines for SDG to enhance the ship's energy efficiency further and reduce GHG emissions from ships, using digital twins and IOT and LORAWAN for the vessel.
